Ulta uses a virtual try-on with real-life textures, colors, and finishes to match clients' complexions and determine their best match, influencing their purchasing decisions. Ulta Beauty can provide a customized beauty experience for their customers through strong, valuable, realistic, and personalized suggestions that encourage consumers to make a purchase thanks to data-driven insights created by AI. Working from home during the COVID-19 outbreak was challenging, but Ulta transitioned into an e-commerce-only business since it allowed them to advance their AI capabilities. Ulta prioritizes digital innovation, and they do this by being prepared and even embracing failure as a potential outcome. One improvement I recommend to strategic implementation in the area of people at Ulta is to take corrective action. Ulta should put their consumers' needs and wants first if a problem arises in person or online. Ulta can achieve its strategic marketing goals by being attentive, flexible, and willing to change or readjust plans while overseeing an implementation. In terms of processes, Ulta can use business analysis and monitoring to determine how their firm is performing and which areas require improvement. Lastly, Ulta could improve its technology by installing an AI machine in stores to assist customers more quickly if employees cannot help.
Overall, Ulta has a strong capability of marketing implementation. Even if the outcome is not what they had planned, they take their strategy implementation goals very seriously. Ulta makes an effort to try innovative ideas and set up objectives that they can build on. Ulta is constantly staying up on trends and technology.
